STORIES — From being taught to becoming a teacher

Matt Green, JGM Science Tutors, UK: I would like to thank my secondary school English teacher - Mr. Dickenson. A phenomenal explainer, inspirer and motivator of students. Being a teacher myself now, I know how much skill is required to not only make subjects come to life and make sense, but show that you care about every student, and that you believe in them. Mr. Dickenson did that for every student and most certainly did that for me as he built up my confidence in the subject tremendously. If I ever reach half the teaching capability of him, I will be very happy with myself!
