STORIES — A Last Day to Remember
Angela, UK, Primary: The end of the school year was always bittersweet, but this time, my heart was heavy with the knowledge that it would be my last year at this school. I cherished each moment with my students, wanting to make it memorable for them.
On the last day, as I prepared to say my goodbyes, the classroom door creaked open, and the students ushered in a mysterious box. With excitement in their eyes, they handed it to me. As I unwrapped it, I found a photo album filled with pictures, notes, and memories from our time together.
Each student had contributed something special, whether it was a drawing, a heartfelt letter, or a shared inside joke. They had even included moments from the beginning of the year when we were still getting to know each other.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I looked around at the smiling faces. "Thank you all so much," I managed to say through my emotions. "You've made this year truly unforgettable."
