STORIES — The Group Hug

Maya, English, UK: The final day of school had arrived, and while I was excited for the summer break, saying goodbye to my students was always difficult. We had become a tight-knit family, and the thought of not seeing them every day tugged at my heart. As I tried to keep my emotions in check, the students surprised me by gathering in a circle and inviting me into the centre. "Group hug!" they exclaimed. I was taken aback by their gesture, but I embraced it wholeheartedly. It was a great way to end our time together.
